OpenWorking in Ireland means juggling three deductions, not one: income tax, USC and PRSI all come out of your pay, on top of 23% VAT on most of what you buy. The tools on this page are built for exactly those things, so you can check a take-home figure or a VAT total in seconds without signing up for anything.
The Ireland income tax calculator is the headline tool. It uses Revenue 2025 rates, applies the standard-rate band and tax credits, and shows income tax, USC, PRSI and your net pay as separate lines, with pension relief built in. For day-to-day numbers, set the VAT calculator to 23% to add or remove Irish VAT, and use the invoice generator to produce a VAT invoice as a PDF. For the full breakdown of how the band, credits and USC fit together, read our Ireland income tax guide.
For building wealth, the budget calculator, emergency fund, savings goal and compound interest calculators help you plan around your take-home pay. The salary tool converts an annual package into monthly, weekly and hourly pay, which is handy when you compare offers or work out a day rate.
Job hunting or handling paperwork? The CV builder makes a clean, ATS-friendly CV with no watermark, and the PDF tools cover the documents around applications and contracts. Every tool is free, mobile-friendly and private. Tax bands, credits and VAT can change, so treat the results as estimates and confirm anything important with Revenue or an accountant.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How is income tax calculated in Ireland?
Ireland has two income tax rates. The standard 20% applies up to your standard-rate band, which is €44,000 for a single person, €53,000 for a married couple with one income, and up to €88,000 for a couple with two incomes. Income above the band is taxed at 40%. Everyone then subtracts tax credits, the personal credit of €2,000 and the PAYE credit of €2,000 after Budget 2026. The Ireland income tax calculator applies the band and credits automatically, and it runs in your browser so your salary stays private.
What are USC and PRSI?
USC, the Universal Social Charge, is a separate tax on gross income in bands from 0.5% up to 8%, and it is not reduced by tax credits. PRSI, Pay Related Social Insurance, is 4% of gross for most Class A employees once weekly pay passes €352, and it funds social welfare benefits. Both apply on top of income tax, which is why your take-home is noticeably lower than your gross. The calculator shows each as a separate line.
What is the VAT rate in Ireland?
The standard Irish VAT rate is 23%, with reduced rates on some goods and services. Use the VAT calculator and set the rate to 23% to add VAT to a net amount or extract the VAT included in a gross figure. VAT is a consumption tax you pay when you spend, separate from income tax, so it never appears as a payslip deduction. The invoice generator can produce a VAT invoice as a PDF.
Can I build a CV for Irish jobs here?
Yes. The CV builder creates a clean, ATS-friendly CV you can download as a PDF or Word file with no watermark and no account, which suits applications across Ireland. The PDF tools handle the documents around job applications and paperwork.
Are the tools free with no sign-up?
Yes, every tool is free with no account and no daily limit. Your salary, tax and savings figures stay on your device because the calculators run entirely in your browser.
