Our commitment to accuracy

Every financial calculator on CrispToolHub uses data verified against official government sources. We do not estimate or guess tax rates, interest rates or contribution limits. If we cannot verify a number against the authority that publishes it, that number does not ship. A calculator with a stale rate is worse than no calculator at all, because people make real decisions with the output.

How content gets created here

Every calculator, guide and comparison on this site follows the same pipeline. Nothing skips a step, and nothing goes live on the strength of memory or a secondary blog post.

  1. Research. We pick topics from real search queries and reader questions, then read the primary source: the actual government notification, budget document or official circular, not a summary of it.
  2. Draft. The tool logic or article is written with worked examples and real numbers, in plain language a non-expert can follow.
  3. Data verification. Every rate, slab, threshold and limit is checked against the official source before publish. Tool pages now link that source directly, in a "verified against" line above the FAQ, so you can check it yourself.
  4. Quality checks. Before anything is committed we check title and description lengths, structured data, internal links, minimum word counts and a sweep for filler phrasing. The site must also build cleanly and pass its full automated test suite.
  5. Publish. Content goes live only after the checks above pass.
  6. Monthly audit. A scheduled audit re-checks the tracked data points across the site every month, so drift gets caught even when no one is editing that page.

Our data sources

We verify country-specific data against the official authority for that region:

  • India: RBI, CBIC, EPFO, Income Tax Department, SEBI, NPS Trust, National Savings Institute
  • United States: IRS, SSA, Department of Labor, Federal Reserve, CDC
  • United Kingdom: HMRC, GOV.UK, Bank of England
  • Australia: ATO, RBA
  • Canada: CRA, Bank of Canada
  • New Zealand: IRD, RBNZ
  • UAE: UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE)
  • Ireland: Revenue.ie
  • Singapore: IRAS, CPF Board

Data verification standards

These are the specific practices behind the promise above, stated plainly so you can hold us to them:

  • Every rate is checked against the official source before it is published, every time. Planning notes, research summaries and memory do not count as verification.
  • An automated monthly audit tracks 24 data points across 8 countries, including India small savings rates, US retirement contribution limits, and the tax bands for the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Any mismatch opens an internal issue for review.
  • Confirmed errors are corrected within 48 hours of discovery, and significant corrections are logged publicly on our corrections page.
  • Volatile figures such as bank FD rates, state electricity tariffs and insurance premiums always carry a disclaimer telling you to confirm with the provider, because those numbers change faster than any site can track.
  • The calculator source code is our single source of truth. When a guide and a calculator disagree, we fix whichever one is wrong against the official source, and we recheck both.

How we handle rate changes

When the RBI changes the repo rate, we update the relevant calculators within 24 to 48 hours. Financial data is always dated with the effective date and the source. US retirement limits change every November through an IRS notice, Indian small savings rates are reviewed quarterly, and most countries reset tax bands with their annual budget, so we work to those calendars rather than waiting for someone to notice a stale number.

What we do not do

  • We do not scrape or republish other sites' content. Everything here is written for this site.
  • We do not publish rates from memory. A number without a verified official source does not go live.
  • We do not let AI publish financial claims. AI-assisted drafts exist, but every figure in them is verified by a human against the official source before publishing.
  • We do not fabricate ratings, review counts or user statistics, on the page or in structured data.
  • We do not run affiliate links inside tools or comparison pages, because a recommendation you might pay for has to stay independent of what we earn.

AI assistance disclosure

Some content on CrispToolHub is written with AI assistance. All AI-assisted content is:

  • Reviewed by Pranjal before publishing
  • Fact-checked against official sources
  • Clearly attributed to CrispToolHub
  • Never published without human review
