Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CrispToolHub ("we", "us") handles information when you use our online tools (the "Tools"). In short: the Tools are designed to run entirely in your browser, we don't require an account, and we collect as little as possible.

Files and data you enter

Almost every tool — the PDF and image toolkits, the calculators, the resume builder, the developer and text tools, the ruler and compass — runs 100% on your device. The files you open and the figures and text you type are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. We never see them.

Local storage

To make the Tools more useful, we save some data in your browser's local storage — for example your light/dark theme, ruler calibration, favorite and recently used tools, saved tool settings, your resume draft, your job-application tracker entries, recent searches, and the star ratings you give tools. This data stays on your device, is not sent to any server, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Offline access (service worker)

CrispToolHub is a Progressive Web App (PWA). We register a service worker that caches pages and assets in your browser so the site loads faster and key tools keep working offline. This cache lives entirely on your device, contains no personal data, and is never sent to a server. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or uninstalling the app from your home screen. The service worker never caches analytics or advertising requests.

AI features (Google Gemini)

Some tools offer optional AI features — the resume optimizer, cover-letter generator, interview questions, LinkedIn bio, skills-gap roadmap and text humanizer. When you use one, the relevant text (for example your resume or the text you want rewritten) is sent as part of a single prompt to Google Gemini via a Cloudflare Worker that holds our API key privately. We don't store these prompts or responses on our own servers; the text is used only to generate your result. Your use of these features is subject to Google's privacy policy. If you'd rather not send any text off your device, simply don't use the AI buttons — every other tool works without them.

Hosting (Cloudflare)

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and our AI proxy runs on Cloudflare Workers. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare may process standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Third-party libraries (CDN)

SheetJS (CDN): The Excel to PDF converter loads SheetJS from a CDN to parse Excel files in your browser. Your Excel file is never uploaded to any server. Only the SheetJS library file is fetched remotely.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — which pages are visited and roughly how, so we can improve the Tools. We do not track the values you type into any tool. Google Analytics sets its own cookies; you can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.

Email newsletter (Brevo)

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is collected and stored with Brevo (brevo.com), our email marketing service provider. Brevo processes this data on our behalf to send you updates about new tools and features. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. Brevo's privacy policy is available at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/.

We never sell your email address. We never share it with third parties other than Brevo for the sole purpose of sending newsletters.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this website. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your interests and prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

We do not currently use any other advertising networks on this site.

Cookies

We don't set our own tracking cookies. The only cookies currently used are those set by Google Analytics. Our own preferences (theme, favorites, tool settings) use local storage, not cookies.

For visitors in the EU/UK (GDPR)

If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data. Because we don't hold accounts or store the content you process, the main personal data involved is the anonymous analytics described above and any text you choose to send to the AI features. You can exercise these rights, or ask any data question, by emailing hello@crisptoolhub.com.

Children's privacy

The Tools are general-purpose utilities and are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
