How to watermark an image online
A watermark is text laid over an image to mark ownership or discourage unauthorised reuse — a photographer's name on a portfolio shot, a brand on a product photo, or a "draft" label on a proof. An online watermark tool lets you add one in seconds without a heavy photo editor.

How do I add a text watermark to an image?
Upload your image, type your watermark text, and adjust the size, opacity, colour and position. Choose a single placement (like the bottom-right corner) or enable Tile to repeat the text diagonally across the whole image. Then click Apply watermark and download the result.
What's the difference between single and tiled watermarks?
A single watermark places your text once, in the position you choose — subtle and clean, good for a copyright line. A tiled watermark repeats the text diagonally across the entire image, which is much harder to crop out and is the classic way to protect photos you're sharing publicly.
Can I change the watermark opacity and colour?
Yes. The opacity slider sets how transparent the text is, so it can sit lightly over the image without hiding it, and the colour picker lets you choose any colour — white or black usually reads best, depending on the photo.
Does watermarking reduce image quality?
No meaningful loss. The watermark is drawn over your image at full resolution and exported in your source format (JPEG stays JPEG, others export as PNG to keep transparency). Only the area covered by the text is changed.
