How do I resize an image to exact pixel dimensions?
Upload your image, keep the By pixels mode, and type the width and height you need. With the aspect-ratio lock on, entering one value automatically sets the other so the image doesn't stretch. Turn the lock off if you want to set width and height independently.
How do I keep the aspect ratio when resizing?
Leave the lock button enabled (it's on by default). When you change the width, the height updates proportionally — and vice versa — so the image keeps its original proportions and never looks squashed.
Can I resize by percentage?
Yes. Switch to the By percent mode and enter a percentage. 50% halves both dimensions; 200% doubles them. This is the quickest way to scale an image down or up without calculating exact pixels.
Does resizing reduce file size?
Usually, yes — fewer pixels means a smaller file. If you specifically want the smallest file at the same dimensions, resize first and then run the result through the image compressor for further savings.
Will enlarging an image make it blurry?
Enlarging beyond the original resolution can't add real detail, so very large upscales soften. The tool uses high-quality smoothing to keep the result as clean as possible, but for best results enlarge modestly or start from a higher-resolution source.
